AirSpace Gallery - Rosanna Cade Mentoring Session

As part of the post graduate residency at AirSpace, the gallery offer mentoring, not only from the director Glen Stoker and the studio holders but also from someone of our choosing. After a discussion with Glen about potential mentors and a recommendation from Rebecca Davies, we decided on approaching Rosanna Cade; an absolutely incredible Glasgow-based artist mainly working with live performance with their practice being rooted in queer feminist discourse.

We spent the afternoon together discussing their practice, mine, and the upcoming exhibitions at AirSpace both in the window and in the gallery at the end of the residency. I left the session feeling inspired, informed, and much more confident in myself. Rosanna's insight was invaluable and their suggestions for moving forward have been massively helpful already. 

In a follow up email from Rosanna which was also very helpful, they sent a list of artists and resources to continue some research which I'm really looking forward to getting stuck into!
