In The Window Placement - Provisional Exhibition Date and Promotional Material
Having heard the government announcement for the "Lockdown Roadmap", it seemed likely that we may be able to return to campus in the near future. I immediately thought that this could also mean being able to set a date for the exhibition In The Window at AirSpace Gallery. I contacted Glen from AirSpace that week to ask about this and he informed me that he had already contacted the university to see if we would be able to do so. We are yet to hear back but in the interest of moving forward we set a provisional installation date for the exhibition and began talking about promotion.
In order to promote the exhibition, Glen has asked me for a 150 word statement outlining the work, the context and the intent as well as a 150 word artist statement explaining my practice with relevant web or social media links and a collection of images to be used for promotional posters, social media and the AirSpace Gallery website. I began by collating the required images and checking their resolution to see if they would be suitable for use and made notes of what I would like to include in both statements ready to write them. I will be getting all of this information together as soon as possible so that we can concentrate on promotion and installation. It is exciting to finally be so close to both exhibiting my work In The Window and completing my placement!
