In The Window Placement - Exhibition Promotion

After receiving the go-ahead from the university to be able to continue with my placement, I contacted Glen at AirSpace to see if we could still install the exhibition on the provisional date we had discussed. That date was the Saturday of the same week and with receiving confirmation on the Tuesday we did not have a lot of time for promotion. Luckily I had written my statements and gathered promotional material the week prior and forwarded that same email to Glen to be used for the poster and social media content. I have shared the poster and a link to the webpage across all of my own social media platforms as well as sharing the posts from the AirSpace Gallery social media pages. Fellow students, artists and friends have been sharing the posts too which is great, I make sure to engage with each shared post to say thank you but also to improve their reach online.  It has been great to receive so much support and have had positive comments so far. For those who are unable to get out to see the exhibition on an essential trip to the city centre or for people who are from elsewhere I plan to use my documentation of the exhibition to give the work a second life online. I have mentioned this in my posts and have friends as far away as America saying they will be sure to keep an eye out. This week has been both daunting and exciting, I cannot wait to install the work, perform in the space and document the process and finished result.
