In The Window Placement - Postponed Exhibition
On the 5th of January during the third national lockdown, the government decided to close schools, colleges and universities. Initially, as the In The Window opportunity is Covid-safe, Glen at AirSpace and I briefly discussed continuing with the exhibition as planned as we were both happy to continue. First however, Glen had to contact the university to inquire about the formalities and ethics of proceeding and whether or not it was within their guidelines for student activity in lockdown. It took a little while for them to reply but as suspected we were unable to proceed. Fortunately, Glen has said we can still go ahead at a later date rather than cancel the exhibition. Although this is obviously disappointing it should mean my work will be installed in the window at a time when there will be a higher footfall in the city centre due to both better weather and being out of lockdown. It also means I have more time to develop my ideas further if I wanted to. I am determined to remain positive and maintain my excitement (whilst also
managing my nerves!).
In the meantime, Sitting Crossed Legged an exhibition by Chris Woodvine has been installed In The Window. I hope to see it in passing whilst either on an essential trip to the city centre or on a walk as part of our daily allotted exercise.
